Bernadette Nina Vazquez

Partner

Nina is a trusted advocate and strategic problem-solver who brings more than a decade of high-level litigation experience to families, fiduciaries, and business owners navigating some of life’s most personal and complex legal matters. As a partner of the firm, Nina focuses her practice on estate planning, estate and trust administration, and probate litigation, with particular strength in contested matters involving fiduciary misconduct, undue influence, capacity disputes, will contests, trust disputes, guardianship and conservatorship disputes, and high-value estates.

Nina is known for combining courtroom strength with a steady, compassionate approach. Clients value her ability to explain complex legal issues clearly, anticipate challenges before they escalate, and guide them confidently through emotionally charged situations. Whether crafting a thoughtful estate plan, advising a fiduciary through administration, or litigating a contentious will or trust dispute, she approaches every matter with precision, integrity, and resolve.

Before becoming a partner, Nina served as counsel in numerous multimillion-dollar probate and trust disputes, representing beneficiaries, fiduciaries, and heirs in matters involving breach of fiduciary duty, lack of capacity, undue influence, asset recovery, and the removal of trustees and personal representatives. She regularly collaborates with financial experts, forensic accountants, and medical professionals to develop effective strategies in complex estate and guardianship matters.

Nina’s background in complex commercial litigation further strengthens her probate practice. She has extensive experience handling disputes involving real estate, closely held businesses, fraud, and contractual breaches—issues that frequently arise when estates include operating companies or significant investment assets. This dual perspective allows her to protect both the personal and financial interests at stake in sophisticated estate matters.

Earlier in her career, Nina served as a prosecutor with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where she tried more than forty cases and prosecuted hundreds of matters. That experience sharpened her courtroom presence, evidentiary command, and ability to perform under pressure—skills she now brings to estate planning, probate administration, and probate litigation when outcomes matter most.

Nina is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, magna cum laude, and a former member of the University of Miami Law Review and the Order of the Coif. She has been recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for her work in commercial litigation and is fluent in Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, hiking and spending time with her two young children and husband.
